A Message From The Founder

Long before Good Soma, I was making homemade bone broth.

I loved the tradition of using the whole animal and appreciated that bone broth brought collagen-rich ingredients back to the table. But like so many good habits, it took time—and life doesn’t always leave room for simmering a stockpot for 24 hours.

When I became pregnant, I was looking for simple ways to nourish my body without adding more complexity to my day.

That’s when I started reaching for cacao and collagen.

I wanted something that felt nourishing without the anxious, jittery feeling coffee often gave me. Cacao offered a rich flavor and a gentle lift from naturally occurring theobromine, while collagen became an easy way to add protein during a season when my body was constantly changing.

What began as a simple homemade blend eventually became Good Soma.

Our Packaging.

You may notice our packaging isn’t perfectly smooth.

That’s because it isn’t made to be.

Good Soma is packaged in compostable bags designed to reduce waste while protecting freshness. Our bags are safe for home compost bins. Results may vary for home composting.

Our bags are made from kraft paper and a compostable laminated film, providing durability while remaining environmentally responsible.

They are:

• Free from harmful chemicals such as bisphenols and phthalates

Organic farming standards restrict the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and additives.

This results in ingredients that are less processed and more aligned with how food is naturally grown.

At Good Soma, we choose organic to reduce unnecessary inputs and keep our formulations as simple and transparent as possible.

All ingredients are certified USDA organic. There is zero dairy, gluten, or sugar in our blends.

Why we left out ALL sweeteners.

Pure stevia (steviol glycosides) and monk fruit extract (mogrosides) are naturally hundreds of times sweeter than sugar. Because they're so concentrated, they're often blended with additional ingredients, such as erythritol, to improve measuring, texture, and consistency.

While erythritol is a commonly used zero-calorie sweetener, we chose to leave out all added sweeteners. We wanted our blends to be built around simple, recognizable ingredients—not sweetness.

Instead of masking the natural flavors, we let rich organic cacao taste like cacao and real Madagascar vanilla taste like vanilla.

By keeping our blends unsweetened, you're in complete control. Enjoy them just as they are, or sweeten them with honey, maple syrup, dates, or your preferred sweetener.
